The short version: this app keeps records you enter. It does not issue licenses, does not replace them, and is not a source of regulations or season dates. Verify everything with the agency that issues it before you hunt.
1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of Hunting Tags & License Tracker, an iOS application published by DahVio Studios, Long Beach, California. Installing or using the app means you accept them. If you do not, do not use the app.
2. What the App Is
The app is a personal record-keeping tool. It stores information you enter about licenses, tags, permits, seasons, dates, regulations, trips and hunts, and it reminds you about dates you have recorded.
3. What the App Is Not
- It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any state, provincial or federal wildlife agency
- It does not issue, validate, renew or replace any license, tag, permit or stamp
- It is not a legal record of licensure, and documents you store in it are reference copies only
- It is not a source of hunting or fishing regulations, season dates, bag limits or legal requirements
- It does not provide legal advice
Several jurisdictions require licenses or tags to be carried physically or displayed through an official system. Following those rules is your responsibility.
4. Accuracy Is Yours
Every date, number and note in the app is one you entered. The app does not verify them against any authority and cannot know when a season, rule or fee changes. Reminders fire from your data, so a wrong date produces a confident reminder about the wrong day.
Always confirm current regulations, season dates, deadlines and carry requirements with the agency that issues them. If the app and the agency disagree, the agency is right.
5. Reminders and Notifications
Reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee. iOS may delay, limit or suppress local notifications, the operating system caps how many an app may have pending, and a device that is off or out of storage may not deliver them at all. Do not rely on the app as your only defence against a missed deadline.
6. Your Data
Your records are yours. They are stored on your device, and you can export them to a file at any time on any tier. Deleting the app deletes its data. Keeping a backup — through your device backup or an export you save somewhere — is your responsibility, and DahVio Studios cannot recover data from a lost, reset or damaged device because we never had a copy of it.
7. Subscriptions
The app is free to use with limits. Optional annual subscriptions — Outdoorsman and Family — unlock additional capacity and features at the prices shown in the app at the time of purchase.
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through your Apple Account. They renew automatically each year unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and you can manage or cancel them in the iOS Settings app. Payment is charged on confirmation of purchase. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies; DahVio Studios cannot issue them.
Ending a subscription does not delete anything you have recorded. Free-tier limits apply again to adding new licenses, tags and permits, and export remains available.
8. Acceptable Use
Do not use the app to break the law, to misrepresent licensure, or to present stored images as valid licenses or tags where an official document is required. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the app.
9. Warranty and Liability
The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, DahVio Studios is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app — including missed deadlines, expired licenses, forfeited applications or preference points, citations, fines, lost data, or any indirect or consequential damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Changes
The app changes over time, and features may be added, altered or removed. These terms may be updated; the effective date above changes when they are, and continuing to use the app means accepting the current version.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
