The Air Force PFA scores you across four components with a combined maximum of 100 points. Aerobic fitness carries the greatest weight.
The official PFA tables work—but they're slow and hard to use on a phone. Here's what a real calculator gives you.
No lookup tables. No cross-referencing components. Just enter your reps and run time and see your exact Air Force PFA score instantly.
Wonder what happens if you cut 30 seconds off your 1.5-mile run? Or push your core score to the next bracket? Test it in seconds and train smarter.
Since aerobic fitness is the highest-weighted component, improving your run time often yields more points per training hour than any other event. See this quantified in real time.
Because aerobic fitness carries the highest weight in the PFA composite score, shaving just 30 seconds off your 1.5-mile run can push your overall score up significantly—often more than adding multiple reps in push-ups or core.
Seeing this play out in real time makes it easier to prioritize your training. The calculator turns component weights into concrete score targets you can actually plan around.
Instant scoring. Clean, mobile-first design. Built for Airmen and Guardians preparing for their PFA—not for spreadsheet jockeys.
The Air Force Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA) measures overall fitness for active duty and reserve members. It includes body composition, an aerobic event, push-ups, and a core strength component. All active duty Airmen and Space Force Guardians are required to pass annually.
The PFA produces a composite score out of 100 points. Aerobic fitness carries the highest weight, followed by push-ups and core. Scores are classified as Excellent (90+), Satisfactory (75–89), Marginal (60–74), or Unsatisfactory (below 60) per DAFMAN 36-2905.
A composite score of 75 or higher earns a Satisfactory rating, which is the standard passing threshold. A score of 90 or above is rated Excellent. Scores between 60 and 74 are Marginal, and below 60 is Unsatisfactory per current DAFMAN 36-2905 standards.
The Air Force PFA is governed by DAFMAN 36-2905, the Department of the Air Force Manual that defines fitness assessment standards, component weights, scoring tables, and testing procedures for all USAF and USSF members.
