Is my journal data backed up anywhere?

No Burnbook cloud copy is stored by DahVio Studios. Entries live on your device. If you delete the app or lose the device without a local device backup, your entries may be unrecoverable. That tradeoff is part of the app's privacy model.

What happens when I burn an entry?

When you burn an entry, it is permanently deleted from your device. There is no archive and no recovery flow. Burnbook is designed so the burn action feels deliberate, not casual.

I lost my entries after reinstalling the app. Can I get them back?

Usually, no. Because entries are stored locally and not synced to a DahVio server, reinstalling the app can remove the local data unless you have a relevant device backup made before the loss.

How do I restore Burnbook Premium?

Open the app, go to Settings, and use the restore-purchase flow from the Premium screen. Burnbook will ask Apple to re-check purchases tied to the Apple ID that originally bought Premium.

What does Burnbook Premium include?

Premium unlocks unlimited burns, premium Sparks, and timed burns so entries can auto-burn after 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. Free accounts keep core writing and a limited number of monthly burns.

Face ID isn't working. What should I check?

Make sure Face ID or Touch ID is enabled on your iPhone first, then confirm biometric protection is enabled inside Burnbook Settings. If both are on and it still fails, email support with your iOS version and device model.

How do I delete all my data?

Use the in-app reset option from Settings if you want a full wipe, or delete the app from your iPhone. Because DahVio Studios does not keep a server-side copy, there is nothing additional for us to remove remotely.

Where should I report a bug or weird behavior?

Email ray@dahvio.com with what happened, what you expected, and your device/iOS version. If it's about burning, locking, or audio, include those details too.
