Simple DBT tracking that works
iOS ยท DahVio StudiosIf you are in crisis: This app is not a crisis service. If you need immediate support, please contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988) or your local emergency services.
Open the app and use the sliders on the main screen to rate your mood, anxiety, urges, and stress โ each on a scale from low to high. Then tap the skills you used during the day and add an optional note. Tap Save when you're done. That's it.
The four sliders map to core DBT diary card concepts: Mood (how you felt overall), Anxiety (stress and worry), Urges (impulses or difficult urges you experienced), and Stress (external and internal pressure). They're intentionally simple โ no right or wrong values, just honest reflection.
The app includes core DBT skills: TIPP (Temperature, Intense exercise, Paced breathing, Paired muscle relaxation), Mindfulness, Opposite Action, Grounding, and others. Hold any skill to see a brief description of what it involves. The app is a tracking tool, not a full skills curriculum โ your therapist or a DBT workbook will go deeper.
This feature is for when you're overwhelmed and need immediate grounding. It walks you through a short guided breathing exercise, simple grounding prompts, or a small step forward โ no thinking required. You can access it any time from the main screen.
At the end of each entry, the app generates a brief, non-judgmental reflection based on what you logged. It's not a score. It's not a streak. It's a simple acknowledgment of the day. Reflections are stored with each entry and visible in History.
The app saves one entry per day. If you open the app again on the same day and make changes before saving, it will overwrite today's entry. Past entries from previous days cannot be edited โ only viewed in History.
During onboarding you can set a reminder time. You can also adjust or disable it later from the app's settings. The reminder is a local notification โ it fires from your device at the time you chose, with no server involved.
Go to your iPhone's Settings โ Notifications โ DBT Daily and confirm notifications are allowed. Also check that Do Not Focus modes aren't blocking the app. You can also go into the app settings and re-save your reminder time to reschedule it.
All of it โ every entry, note, and preference โ is stored locally on your device only. Nothing is sent to a server. DahVio Studios has no access to your diary data. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
The app may make a one-time request to Google's font servers on first launch to download the DM Sans typeface. After that, the font is cached locally and the app runs fully offline. No diary data is ever transmitted.
Delete the app from your iPhone. That removes all locally stored entries, notes, and preferences. There is no account to close and no server-side data to request deletion of โ because none was ever collected.
No. DBT Daily does not sync across devices. Your diary is private to the device it was created on, by design. If you delete and reinstall the app, your previous entries will not be recoverable.
