The short version: WAPS Study 2026 does not require an account, does not run analytics, and does not send your study history to DahVio Studios. Progress is stored locally on your device.
1. Who We Are
WAPS Study 2026 is developed and published by DahVio Studios, a solo developer studio based in Long Beach, California, operated by Ray (ray@dahvio.com).
2. Data Stored on Your Device
To make the app useful between sessions, WAPS Study 2026 stores certain study and preference data locally on your device using the iOS and Flutter local storage system (shared_preferences).
This may include:
- Your selected theme mode and haptic preference
- Your onboarding completion status and selected target rank (E5 or E6)
- Section progress, such as flashcard completion state
- Your most recent answer history for practice questions
- Recent drill session results and timestamps
- Recent SJT attempts and competency results
- Internal counters used to avoid showing the review prompt too often
This data is stored locally on your device only. It is not uploaded to a DahVio server, not tied to an account, and not accessible to DahVio Studios.
3. No Account Required. No Backend.
WAPS Study 2026 has no user accounts, no sign-in, no registration flow, and no backend service for storing study data. There is no personal profile and no cloud database attached to your use of the app.
4. No Analytics, Ads, or Tracking SDKs
WAPS Study 2026 does not include:
- Analytics frameworks
- Advertising SDKs
- Behavioral tracking tools
- Crash reporting frameworks operated by DahVio Studios
- Any third-party telemetry service used to monitor your study behavior
That means DahVio Studios does not receive a record of which sections you studied, which questions you missed, how long you stayed in the app, or how often you opened it.
5. Device-Level Integrations
The app includes a small number of device-level integrations that only activate when you choose to use them:
- In-app review prompt: when triggered, the app may ask Apple to show the standard App Store review prompt on your device
- External links: if you tap a support or App Store link, your device opens the destination you selected
- Share actions: if you use a share feature, your device presents the standard system share sheet
These actions are user-initiated. They do not create a DahVio user profile or send your study data to DahVio Studios.
6. Core App Content
The app's study content is bundled with the app itself. Core section review, flashcards, drill history, and progress tracking are designed to work without requiring an account or a continuous network connection.
7. Resetting or Deleting Your Data
You can clear study progress from inside the app using the built-in reset option. You can also remove locally stored data by deleting the app from your device.
Because DahVio Studios does not keep a server-side copy of your study data, deleting it on your device means it is not retained by us anywhere else.
8. Children's Privacy
WAPS Study 2026 is intended as a study tool for Airmen and promotion-testing candidates. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and it does not require personal information from any user in order to function.
9. Apple's Data Practices
While DahVio Studios does not collect your study data, Apple may collect certain information as part of normal iOS and App Store operations. For details on Apple's own data handling, please review Apple's Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to This Policy
If the app's data practices ever change, this policy will be updated with a new effective date. Material privacy changes will also be reflected in app release notes or related product updates where appropriate.
